Hello,
I've been using Open Office for many years now, and I loved it. That was till
recently.
When I check to see if there is any solution to my problem I realized that
other members have had the same problem for many years now, so I consider
myself lucky.
The last few months I am not able t

Hi ... I had been using Open Office (4.1.6) this morning normally and it would
indicate to me when I made a spelling mistake. Also if I hadn’t corrected my

useful to someone whose only programming experience was on COBOL many, many
years ago.
Once again - thanks

Hello All,
Can Common Spelling API (which was in MS Office up to version 2000 as
far as I know) be implemented in AOO on Windows. It can boost AOO on
Windows of course if there are programs that use it now (I know one
which used it in past - The Bat! e-mail client).

You should start by deleting or renaming your OpenOffice user profile. If you
are using Windows do this by:
Close OpenOffice and the Quickstarter. Open File Explorer. Copy and paste

I use to highlight the word or use F7 and if misspelled it would recommend a
correct spelling for the word - which it no longer does. I did our family tree

Thanks Jon,
Your information is very helpful. It shows where there needs to be more
guidance on finding and
ze would be to provide an
automated option to perform this using OpenOffice itself. I hope to see that
given a priority, although I can't promise that there will be improvement soon.
Please report whether this solved your problem and any adjustments you had to

It's certainly a tiny thing considering the scope of your project, but
