That tells me that you are using the version from Ubuntu. For at least
the last decade, Ubuntu has added its own plethora of bugs to the

In my Slackware Linux packages, I have no conflict. There is no soffice
file in my /usr/bin directory. I do have:
/usr/bin/libreoffice5.3
which is a symlink to /opt/libreoffice5.3/program/soffice
and
/usr/bin/openoffice4
Which is a shell script:

As just at a first glance, the processor type is X86 and not AMD. In
theory there would be no difference but for many programs I have
installed there are 2 flavors, X86 and AMD.
Try going to the AOO site and look for the AMD supported download.
