I know I ran apper and I used an option called get and remove software
and it removed apper.
Now I can't find that option again so I am going to have to apologize
for the facts I reported.

My daughter just purchased a Toshiba Satellite 750 laptop which she
installed Ubuntu on with no problem.
While the nvidia graphics card is a bit slow for some apps she is quite
