After the failure I described I tried to upgrade the system to F24 by running sudo dnf system-upgrade download --allowerasing --refresh --releasever=24 This worked without errors. I then did sudo dnf system-upgrade reboot This worked. I logged in and did sudo dnf system-upgrade download --
