I've got kernel-devel installed and every time the kernel gets upgraded the
development
package gets upgraded. I use the default settings so there are 3 kernel and 3
kernel-devel on my system.

Is it possible that at sometime you change a config file to exclude devel or
some other
package and you used a wild card and you're getting some unexpected
consequences?

In reality, some people should stick to running Windows and others should stay
away from
computers altogether.
