I also have a SSD. So has my other laptop which has also a nVidia chip but uses
a Core2Duo instead of a Core i7 and works perfectly fine.
Looks like a problem with the combination of a SSD with the nVidia driver and

This issue seems to have gone away for me. You will have to trust me on
this, but I did recreate the problem several times before posting this

In the hope of getting the importance of this bug raised I'd like to add
that this bug is now stopping me from updating using the update manager.
When it tries to open the authentication dialog box I get an alert
window "Cannot grab Mouse". The only thing I can do then is close it
with Alt-F4. Upd

I just installed the maverick xserver-xorg 64-bit update, and am still
getting the same problem (running two monitors, twinview works fine,

Let's say you have some windows open: 1 firefox, 1 Open Office, etc.
After "empty trash" action, where the mouse move the window got focus with a
sort of auto-focus on mouse hover.

So, if one don't take c

Using the Beta of Maverick, I also still had the same problem.
But now after reinstalling Maverick (the final) from scratch for me everything
is working perfectly now.
