Public bug reported: maverick x64, fglrx 2:8.780-0ubuntu2
Load "glx" in xorg.cong causes a 50% drop in 3d performance. Noticed glx wasn't loaded in xorg.conf with the ati sourced driver when I was trying to figure out why other distros were so much faster than Ubuntu. Btw, tried to report this using "ubuntu-bug -p fglrx-installer" as per request, but received an error message.
