Yay, well I hate giving up. I decided to try once more, and as I had my Maclin folder on the Desktop and trying to install it from there, I decided to transfer it to a Downloads folder and try again. It worked that time. I have no idea why it wouldnt recognise it on the Desktop, but it is now i

I don't know why anybody would want the Windows Safari look at all, it's all battleship grey and quite lacking in any of the beauty of either Compiz or Vista Aero. My advice is to give up trying to get Safari running on Ubuntu and instead go and see a psychiatrist... he may be able to cure you of

Mmmm, I rebooted the machine, then clicked on the Safari Icon again, and this time got an error message saying basically, it isnt a windows error, its more likely a wine error, causing it. It says it could be a deficiency in wine., It does give this url http://appdb.winehq.org. I have looked th

You don't say why you liked Safari, John... if it was the way it rendered be aware that Google Chrome uses the same rendering engine and Konquerer is effectively a sibling (ie. Safari was effectively a branch of a previous version of Konquerer so they're not identical but very similar). Sean --
