Yay, well I hate giving up. I decided to try once more, and as I had my Maclin folder on the Desktop and trying to install it from there, I decided to transfer it to a Downloads folder and try again. It worked that time. I have no idea why it wouldnt recognise it on the Desktop, but it is now installed.
The only problem is now, I am trying to add a root application launcher to the top bar, but when I try clicking on it it says Nautilus doesnt exist. But I have nautilus open.
