the available bandwidth. ;-)
Use whatever base you want (preferably what is custom in your field of
expertise), but make it explicit what you use by using the correct
multiplier symbols.

AFAIK the default config is that this "laptop-mode" is disabled...?

I got some complaints about it though: it doesn't tell users what the
advantages and disadvantages of those plugins are.
(Being free is nice, but if a plugin doesn't work 90% of the time,
that's worthless for most end-users...)
