I run Edgy. Everything is up to date. I wanted to give upstart a try,
but ran into problems. I'm not sure if this bug is in upstart or if
upstart just triggered a bug in somewhere else.
Startup seemed to go OK, I got the GDM login screen and could log in.
However, once the Gn

Unfortunately, the included fix (force changing ownership on start-up)
breaks logging of innd and running news-daily, as the logfiles should be
owned by news.news but are now forced to syslog.adm. The init.d script
from syslogd mentioned in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/120085 uses
"syslogd-listf
Not sure if I should open a new bug for that. Input Method Switcher
