I'm glad to inform you that now brightness *DO* react to brightnessup and
brightnessdown scripts (/etc/acpi/video_*
) and seems fixed. The second check was the problem, definitely =).
Also "brightness gnome applet" and "brightness gnome control" (as gnome panel
add-on) wok well.
Aidan Fitzpatrick suggested the issue depends on gnome keyboard
settings...

I got what happens to me. After hibernation (when notebook recovers
again), when i definitely login (it asks for my password to login after
hibernation) i can see Ubuntu asks me how I want to shutdown the system,

I agree with David. resize shall be theme-independent, maybe even
border-width independent. And with my Acer 6920G it's a so painful
issue! Imagine a 1920x1080 f-hd resolution in 16 inches... i can only
use workarounds to resize windows without swearing!!!

I tried you scenario and, as expected, AMAROK (2.3) didn't play anything

#8 (bug at suspend) is with DMS drivers.

Public bug reported:
Speakers stay on in Ubuntu 12.04 when headphones are plugged into the jack.
(Acer Aspire 6920G, ICH8 chipset, ALC262 audio). All was working fine in 11.10.
There also appears to be no way to mute the speakers while keeping the
headphones on.
