Tried exactly the version requested (v3.7-rc2-raring). It resulted unity
failing to load properly (expected, because i was using fglrx driver
which perhpas compile against my previous kernel).
Nevertheless, new kernel doesn't work. Without unity, I can still do
'hcitool scan' as root. No device is
New discovery: If I load the font with fontforge, save it using UTF
intead of the original GB encoding, then I got new files that can be
listed in fc-list.
So I guess fontconfig ignores fonts encoded in GB encoding.
The easiest fix is to ask X.org to deliver these 2 fonts in UTF instead.

I can confirm it happens to me with my favorite xdm/fluxbox combination
that I use since early this century. In most cases I could not cleanly
shut down, seeing the message "file system busy" for "/" before power
goes off on my laptop. Using 10.10 64-bit.

Offer some information for those who don't use an DE: I am a bit
surprised that I hit this problem too as I thought non-DE users are
immune to such problems as they can decide if turn on the input method
or not by .xsession. Fact is .xsession no longer have control over what
