To clarify things: The gnome power manager tray icon now shows the battery icon, and if I move the mouse over, it says Computer uses battery power. Laptop battery 1h 30min remaining (58%). Battery discharging time is estimate. By the way, if in gpm preferences I select to only show the tray icon w
