The reason for which I was uncertain about curtin is that sfdisk (the

Ubuntu is not a rolling distribution, which means that once a new
version is released packages are only upgraded to fix bugs. A new
release of Ubuntu is cut every six months, normally including the most
up to date versions of all the packages.
The next release of Ubuntu that will include nmap
Fixed upstream in version 4.12 by a non-trivial set of patches:
