Tested problem with Mainline kernel. The main problem still existed.
This was different:
There is also a pendrive icon on the Unity panel that will not go away until
the card is removed. It presents you with an eject selection that appears not
to do anything.
With the Mainline kernel the pendri
The kernel did install, even with the burps it encountered in the process. I
was able to complete my test. Upon removing the kernel and rebooting, the
same error message was generated but I chose not to report it.
