Public bug reported: http://testcases.qa.ubuntu.com/System/SuspendResume Extended Suspend/Resume test Case ID: snr-002
Run the suspend/resume test script included in Ubuntu: sudo /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/suspend_test --full or run the following if testing a server: sudo /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/suspend_test --server This will perform a number of suspend/resume tests. The first few of these require human intervention such as unplugging the AC cord and replacing it. Once the main stress test starts no further intervention will be needed. Any failures to resume should trigger apport which will guide you in filing a bug in Launchpad. The manual suspend and lid close suspend works fine. The problem appears to be in the script. sudo /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/suspend_test --full Not only does it end up in an unrecoverable state, it also fails to trigger the apport feature to file the bug. It is also a regression because it had worked properly in previous releases. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879734 Title: After suspending the machine via suspend_test --full the machine stops in an unrecoverable state.
