SUCCESS !!! I edited /etc/modules and added wl Then, reboot. Then, went to
System-Administration-Hardware Drivers, and deactivated the Broadcom STA
driver. Reboot again, now Activate it. And reboot again, automatically
connected to the wireless network.

When i tried the last time to install from restricted driver i have seen that
the system tried to load the kernel module for nvidia-glx instead
nvidia-glx-new.
Could the problem caused by this? I haven't time now to try and get logs, I'll

I've just installed a brand new kubuntu 8.04 on a Dell Latitude D630;
after the first boot I did an upgrade (without upgrading to 8.10
though), and the clicking problem is NOT there, load cycle NEVER
increased in hours...
However, laptop mode is not enabled, so this was fixed somewhere else?

I installed the Eclipse IDE via repositories and I'm continuously experiencing
sudden crashes in Ubuntu Gutsy.
I think this bug is not related with the JVM/JDK in use, cause it occurs both
setting default JDK in eclipse as Java 6 and Java 5.0.

Whenever I try to run a Windows application using wine 0.9.55 I get a
segfault. Catchsegv returns the following info:

With today update no black screen but the gdm crash and start the
interface setup.
