Try the upstream workaround (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/hardy/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/233787/comments/34).. and please tell me if it works with eee box and if it's possibile to use 16:9 ratio. Have anyone try this workaround with a DVI->VGA adapter or with a DVI->HDMI one?
