gphoto was compiled when I compiled panorama tools and hugin(long,
looong time ago, like two years back!!) when hugin didn't had an ubuntu
package.
I see them looking at /usr/local/bin
I remove all bins and libraries. Martin you are the king.

The problem everybody is having seems a software thing, a lot of people
is having problems with connections.
I think I never had errors on dmesg. I removed the blueman repository
and reverted to standard ubuntu config.
If I put now the usb bluetooth dongle and click setup new

I made sudo apt-get install --reinstall libgphoto2-2 before removing
libtdl3.
Now(without libltdl3) I tried to reinstall libgphoto again:

I had the same problem as Dave MG. I know about computers, I program
them, but I the fdi files are not my area of interest, I didn't know
what they meant either. So Alexia, you had been very helpful with me
too(and the people that will read this in the future).

I have the same problem that you have (I have three wiimotes so I can
use them as a giroscope). IMHO bluetooth support in intrepid is really
broken. Two machines with intrepid, it doesn't work, it worked when it
had Hardy(and former ubuntu versions).

I tried the nvidia-glx-180. No luck, instead of a black screen I got the ubuntu
splash screen right, but when I log in I got background color screen with
horizontal lines(see screenshots, I have my screen rotated). Same problem with
kernel 2.6.27.12 and 13.
So I installed nvidia-glx-177
What you see here has a lot of specular reflection. What appears is
background color, and white lines(in the image they are blurred, in
reality they have some square white dots into the line )
