Public bug reported:

I found it really annoying the SCIM controls on my Ubuntu Intrepid, You
are working and suddenly when pressing some normal keys at once,
keyboard gets irresponsible, and YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING.

It took me a lot of time to acknowledge that is the SCIM thing, totally
unnecessary for me and for a lot of people in the world. I'm spanish, I
don't need this, and I don't like this, please make it optional, or
simple to disable. In the last two months, I activated SCIM more than 30
times WITHOUT TRYING, and is really really annoying.

No information of how to disable it, I tried to remove the languages it
loads, now I tried to remove the shortcuts, please improve this design.

** Affects: scim (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
