Update: I tried the nvidia-glx-180. No luck, instead of a black screen I got the ubuntu splash screen right, but when I log in I got background color screen with horizontal lines(see screenshots, I have my screen rotated). Same problem with kernel 2.6.27.12 and 13.
So I installed nvidia-glx-177, with the black screen problem in kernel 13.
