Public bug reported: There was a time, two or three ubuntu releases back, in which I could connect to the wiimote on ubuntu. The last update makes this to lswm:
$$ lswm lswm: error while loading shared libraries: libbluetooth.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory It seems like last update installed libbluetooth version 3, and "lswm" has fixed dependencies. wmgui gives the same message. Prior to last update I couldn't connect to the wiimote either. Using "modprobe uinput didn't help" making "wmgui 00:19:1D:94:30:BF" either (wmgui was displayed as if I type only "wmgui"). I have three wiimotes so it's not a hardware problem. $$hcitool scan Scanning ... 00:19:1D:94:30:BF Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 00:10:C6:91:52:DB MADWS0021 The "bluetooth device wizard"(blue icon on desktop bar) detects Nintendo RVL-CNT-01, when I try to connect, it says: "conecting to Nintendo RVL-CNT-01..." and then "pairing with Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 failed" OS: Intrepid ibex Acer Aspire 5610 with different bluetooth USB adapters(no one works, they worked fine in the past). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- nintendo wiimote not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/291051 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
