My mistake, I took another look at the Xorg log after upgrading to the
testing packages, and noticed a line saying it can't enable DRI for a
framebuffer larger than 2048 pixels in either dimension. I had set a
virtual size in xorg.conf for an extended desktop and had forgotten
about it.

I can reproduce the problem 100% of time if I open a site that has some
client-side dynamic content, in for example http://www.engadget.com/ 's
case, there's the rolling news box with big images on the top right. If
I have that on-screen in Opera or Firefox and initiate Expose, the
screen flickers
Right now if I rotate the screen for example right, I get a picture on
my notebook's display that is 768 pixels wide (height of the rotated
screen), and 1280 tall (width of the rotated screen). This, because of
the display's native resolution, causes the rotated screen's width to be
cut off at 768

Using gnome-display-properties to rotate the screen does not flip X/Y
heights, so a widescreen display ends up to use only part of the screen

How I could miss a piece of information so essential, I have no idea. I
posted this while I was installing 7.10 final on a desktop. I was
referring to the "Format" checkbox not being reachable by pressing Tab,
like every other widget in the installer. (text entries, buttons etc.)

Checked today, there's still no tab stop for the Format checkbox. If
there's no way to make it selectable, it should probably at least be
added to the dialog that pops up when you double-click a partition.

Yes, I see the irony of the double-clickable partition on a can't-reach-
with-keyboard bug. ;) To be fair there's a button to bring that dialog
up, and on most keyboards, the Menu key.

This is seemingly happening to me on Gutsy. No matter what I set my
connection speed to, all embedded videos are unplayable unless I pause
it and wait for it to buffer in the background.

What about FUSE-mounted drives, like USB-attached hard disks? There's no
obvious way to re-mount with the correct character encoding, resulting
in unreadable files unless the user specifically adds the drive to
/etc/fstab.

Thanks for your clearing that up! I don't think it's too intuitive
though. Not saying Tab is intuitive, but if someone has been using
graphical interfaces since some time, it's the first thing that comes to
mind when navigating without a mouse. If it's not possible to add
tabbing support for that c

My idea for a better solution would be a button in one of the corners of
the visualization itself, as seen in the attached mockup. Clicking the
button would pop up a context menu that has the same options as the
hover toolbar currently. This would not only save space, but prevent the
