I'm not sure where the problem lies...but I can only assume it's a KDE4

I am running xubuntu with no kind of compositing enabled whatsoever and

To test this, I opened an xterm window and put top in it. Then,

This is seemingly a problem with gnome-power-manager, acpi_listen
displays keypresses immediately. Also, if you change power manager

This seems to be a problem with the way battery brightness and AC
brightness are calculated relative to each other. See my duplicate bug
#206228. If you cycle between AC and Battery power by pulling the plug
in and out, the brightness level of both will steadily decrease until
battery brightness

This doesn't matter if I have a SD card or not inserted, the X61s fails
to suspend or hibernate and simply panics.
Also, power management is inoperative, too. There is no auto-adjustment
of screen brightness
Regardless of the skin I select, the playlist window's position is
maintained when I click on the status icon to restore the application,
but the app itself appears at the lower left of my screen.
