Okay, so I used the first method of renaming the gnome-settings-
daemon.desktop and got to the login screen.
Then I used the recovery console and typed in the command:

I don't have this problem and I have lots of AVI-Files for mythvideo
with german umlauts. All are displayed and played. No LC_ALL is set. Is

several years, and the original author (and copyright holder) of the

I fresh installed Lucid when it came out and recently updated to
Maverick. I was rudely hit with this bug. I do not believe that the
majority of Ubuntu users will use the Unity interface even though it is
awful pretty.
If I'm understanding correctly what you mean, I've got the indicator
applet on
I run gq in Lucid amd64.
The shipped version is truly unusable for me. In the Browse tab drag and
drop doesn't work, sorting doesn't work either.
Please provide a 1.2.x version or a working 1.3.x one.

In case syncdaemon startup takes more time than specified in dbus
timeout, ubuntuone-launch exits with os._exit(1) instead of waiting for
'READY' signal from syncdaemon.
The fix for this may be to set wait_for_ready as both callback and
errback so that we will continue waitin

Attached is the edid output when the system returns from blank screen if
the hdmi switch is on a different system. This causes screen corruption
in X, and makes it completely unusable.

I checked it out and it was because that my WPA-key was 64 chars long, not 63.
Changed it and now it works like a charm.
Although you might make these errors visible for the user. I did not get any
kind of notification at all regarding the connection.

I previously had locked mouse problem while using DDD (Data Display
Debugger) on Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid). Upgrading xorg-server to
2:1.7.6-2ubuntu7.4~ppa0 provided by Chris Carlin (comment #42) resolved
the issue. Thanks, Chris, for the fix.

I'm unable to reproduce this on a clean install of Maverick netbook with
image 20100928.2; on a very similar Compaq Mini which has the same
wireless chip (checked PCI IDs). I will test an upgrade from Lucid
netbook edition.
