Adding "acpi=rsdt" in the kernel boot params also resolved this issue
for me. I went from having 15s battery wakeup times upon resume to
~120ms times. Additionally, querying battery information through /sys is
way faster (read: reasonably instantaneous).

Similar situation. I have a Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS 512MB PCI card and
also have an integrated intel graphics card that I can't remove. Compiz
works fine with my GeForce 8400 GS, which Ubuntu uses, but I can't

Not sure if I have this same bug or not, but this bug report did help
me. I'm using an ExpressCard eSATA adapter with a Dell XPS M1710 laptop
running Lucid 64-bit, but it wasn't detecting it when I plugged it in--
no activity in dmesg at all. modprobe'ing acpiphp as mentioned here
fixed the problem

Roman, StepMania 3.9 doesn't even compile under recent Ubuntu versions.
It has many really old dependecies. I've tried to fix them and I've
compiled it but then it didn't work at all or even if it run it was
unstable. Current SVN code compiles cleanly on Ubuntu 10.04 and IMO code

I strongly disagree to make Baidu as default. For a Ubuntu user in
China, Baidu, for the most time, is *useless*. Baidu does know better in
some aspect, but most Linux users won't need in this aspect too much.
