Baidu is useless, it gets market share and beat Google in China just because it uses adware/virus software to promote its search engine, and block access to Google by incorporate with the Chinese government.
Set Baidu as default search engine is also against the philosophy behind Ubuntu project, which should be open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good.
