I could fix it with Option "NoAccel", but it's pretty slow now.

Is your system fully updated? From the stacktrace, I suspect this is a
bug in glib2.0 and not gthumb.
Please try also to create a new user account and see if the issue
remains.
Maybe you can get a further indication of what goes wrong if you install
libglib2.0-0-dbgsym and gthumb-dbgsym, and the
reproduced the bug.
i guess there is some problem with the pdf file also. normally all my other pdf
files are opening except the one mentioned above. it crashes the evince on my

"Preferences"-->"Content"-->"Advanced JavaScript Settings"--> uncheck

Confirmed. I get this whenever I log in to KDE. Either it's
complaining about HDA Intel or Internal PC Speaker (pcsp) or something
like that (seems random which one).

This is what I have been able to get from him thus far. Two images are
attached.
He claims that there is very little time to see messages there and has
difficulty getting an image of it and the pause button does stop the
display.

This did not work out too good for me. the newly installed libqt-dbus
and libqt-network are not compatible (4.4.2) with my hand installed
liqt4-core (4.4.1) and libqt-gui (4.4.1). I had to reinstall them
manually again (ie download from i386 repositories, extract and copy to

Restarting the window manager, after editing the file as you suggested,
caused the (I presume) window manager to display all sorts of weird
patterns - ultimately rendering a completely unintelligible screen.
Rebooting the PC resulted in the window manager producing the same
display from the outset
