That's quite an old bug. I haven't had any issues with Sound Juicer
until Hardy.
To reproduce: Open Sound Juicer - Edit>Preferences. Simple as that.
Sound Juicer just simply quits.

The SiS 761 Graphics chipset only works with VESA and a maximum
resolution of 800x600 in Hardy.
There is no way I can configure this Chipset to work with resolutions
above 800x600

Confirmed on Dell M1330. The problem is with the lshw binary. If I kill
that binary I can continue with the other steps.
lshw also hangs when I run it from console.

Never mind - Somehow (and I swear I didn't do it!) 'Run Command 0' and
'Run Command 1' in CompizConfig Settings-->general-->Commands tab were
set to 'Alt' and 'Ctrl' respectively. I did have some custom short-cut
keys defined before upgrading to Hardy, so perhaps they got mangled
somehow.

I have some different problem but it's close to the topic. Namely I got
R61i equiped with X3100 Intel graphicks card. xrandr -q works in my case
but shows only LVCD and VGA as output doesn't show TV-OUT port as
available. The laptop has one.
