No I believe it's not related to confirmation of age.
Rather I suspect it might be related to gnomevfssrc gstreamer element - which
also causes problem with gnash and youtube.
I have tried to force giosrc instead of gnomevfssrc - that made gnash work very
very well, but with totem it fails with a
gnome-device-manager give me:

Coming over from Bug #201437.
I'd say that fsck errors on each startup after using tune2fs wouldn't
earn Ubuntu any laurels, especially for Hardy as an LTS release. So if
e2fsprogs 1.40.7 cannot be integrated in Hardy for whatever reasons, I
suggest that some hand-picked bug fixes should be backpo

ok, all u do is boot your live cd and open a terminal, wget

then mount your ubuntu drive whichever that is, it may be here:/media/disk-1 or
something or another, open a terminal and then dpkg -x
libc6_2.7-5ubuntu2_

Daniel, I can't exactly remember the contents of ~/.config/user-
dirs.dirs, but I tried to correct the information there and it had no
influence. xdg-user-dirs was not installed by default. it rewrote user-
dirs.dirs to this:
XDG_DESKTOP_DIR="$HOME/Desktop"
XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR="$HOME/Desktop"
XDG_TEM

Apple fn key behavior isn't consistent with what's expected
That did the trick! The number of cores to be used had a value of 4.
Setting it to 1 did the trick! Thanks for the tip. I will add it to the
