On a fresh install of 7.10 server, installed kubuntu then Gnome, I had the
problem where the gnome-appearance-properties wasn't updating any of it's tab
or controls. Removing gtk-qt-engine fixed the problem for me.

I talked to Sebastian Dröge, as I thought this was GStreamer's fault,
and he asked me to run a video with MPlayer, which failed equally. So he
thought this was X fault. Moving to xserver.

Interestingly, I usually observe a short spike in speeds when I switch
the bit rate. It will run at nearly 500 KB/s right after I switch from
5.5M to 2M, for instance, and then sink back to around 300 after 5-10

The upgrade wizard did the installation of XGL.
I never had XGL on my Ubuntu before.
After the upgrade, I rebooted, and as it did, used Xgl as default.
Maybe because it probed for a video card and found one, but not
blacklisting it, therefore enabling Xgl by default.

I am currently testing a recent daily version of Hardy Alpha 1 Desktop
amd64, dated 20071218. This issue is not present in Gutsy.
The apparmor module appears not to be properly built. The problem
presents itself initially in the dmesg log faci

In my case Evolution displays the recovery dialog, but I can not get
past this dialog. Evolution just hangs, I managed to get past it before
by removing all Evolution components, purging the ~/.evolution
directory, and re-installing Evolution again.

After choosing Yes from the first dialog box (and yes, it seems that it
will crash Adept for a single time), are you still getting the same
error? Please update us with more information.
