Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ekiga
On Ubuntu Feisty (on Intel) I managed to get my LML33 (Linux Media Labs) MJPEG video capture board woking (it uses zoran zr36067 module) and Ekiga now detects it OK as an LML33[0] video device when I select V4L2 The MJPEG video image displays fine when I fire up Ekiga, so I thought all was well. But, as soon as I make a phone call, the video picture freezes on my screen and the recipient cannot see an video picture from me. Furthermore, neither I nor the recipient can make Ekiga display the two video screens side my side. It just seems to be stuck. So, I cannot even view the video being sent to me by the person I called which is even worse. So, I have to revert to the Picture device instead of V4L2 and then I can see the recipients video again. Alternatively I can choose to just not load the LML33 modules and then I can use the V4L2 option again and just transmit the default bouncing ball. So, Ekiga needs to be able to cope better with V4L2 video from certain devices, e.g. the LML33 MJPEG cards and alike. Ideally, Ekiga should be able to use the video that it currently happily displays when I'm not in call, when I'm in a call! Does that make sense? i.e. if video works when Ekiga is just idle and NOT in a call, it should also work DURING a phone call. Thanks. ** Affects: ekiga (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ekiga shows video until I make a call: It then freezes the video my end and shows nothing on the remote end https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/177918 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
