Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ekiga
Perhaps this is an enhancement request, not a bug. On Ubuntu Feisty Linux (both for caller and recipient) when I start a NEW chat message to someone, whether we are already on a VoIP phone call or not, their chat window does NOT automatically pop up, so the recipient does not know they've received a chat message from me UNLESS they happen to click on thier chat icon button. Now, if we are NOT on the VoIP phone already, then their computer does at least beep to let them know they have an incoming chat message, but we think it would be better to make the chat window pop-up like it does in Skype, or at least make this a user-configurable option. I often send chat messages whilst on the phone, and yes I could tell the person to click on the Chat icon, but they would prefer it if the chat window AUTOMATICALLY popped-up when I initiate a new chat with them. Thanks.
