I have installed and tested the new kernel 2.6.24-1 released as test.
In attach you have kernel.log & dmesg.
All seams to function very well. ACPI doesn't hang the boot process and the CPU

I have found this to occur in Feisty.
I attempted to update the kernel to that in Gutsy - added Gutsy to the
repository list.
On rebooting, the boot stops at the point where it tries to mount the hard disc
(inferred from symptoms).
After many minutes, I get a prompt from busybox.

I met this behavior both in emacs (terminal mode) and zsh.
Way to reproduce:
enter some phrase, e.g. expo, then press . The whole word expo is shifted
to the right, although it shouldn't shift at all.

fixed as there is some code in the packaging which deals with the po

This is still a big problem in Gutsy. I have never, repeat _NEVER_, let
apport finished running.
When an application crashes the cpu spikes to 100% and the whole system
becomes unresponsive. After a few seconds I usually manage to do a
"killall apport" and everything is peachy again. It never fail

Just a small comment:
This happens to me with ps/2 Keybord and mouse too. A afterwards newly added
usb keybord and usb mouse works fine (not sure how long it will work though).
So it's not an usb only problem.
