Hi, I have installed and tested the new kernel 2.6.24-1 released as test. In attach you have kernel.log & dmesg. All seams to function very well. ACPI doesn't hang the boot process and the CPU is correctly scaled, too.
The problem is that these new alpha kernel/source are build with a new gcc compiler, so I can't build, for example, Nvidia driver. I have made a full backup of my filesystem in order to roolback if necessary , then I'll try a dist-upgrade in order to have the new gcc / libc-dev. Let me know if there is a best procedure to install only the new gcc and if you need more tests from me ;-) Best regards ** Attachment added: "kernel.log_2.6.24-1-generic.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10799418/kernel.log_2.6.24-1-generic.txt -- hangs during boot process https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/159049 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
