I found a workaround - use USB keyboard and mouse. Seems like it only
affects PS2-devices.
Maybe, one day I reconnect the PS2 ones to my new Gutsy installation and

Have a Toshiba Satellite A130 running 7.10. Hibernate works great,
suspend works great as well as long as I don't have compiz stuff

Update manager says there is system new version,
I have an R30 and I get mostly the same behavior. After upgrading to
Gutsy (on release day) the volume keys no longer do anything by
themselves. The mute button works and then I can unmute by pressing a
volume key, but this seems to be happening without the knowledge of the

I have this same problem, though I'm trying to use frame buffer. I
changed my resolution than ran update-initramfs and that didn't seem to

I got mine to work by removing evms and related packages, then mounting
/dev/sdx manually. I believe if I edit fstab now, it will work.

I can confirm this on Feisty and Gutsy (stable). On my laptop the CD
tray cannot be retracted automatically, so K3B keeps waiting with 50%
progress.
(It does not eject the CD when I don't ask it to verify; so K3B ejects
the CD if and only if it shouldn't. :-) )

Running M-x spell-buffer, emacs can't find spell, because ubuntu uses
aspell, etc. I think spell check is something that should work out of
the box, and this is a pretty simple fix, just replace with a spell
program actually included in Ubuntu.
