I can confirm this problem on my Thinkpad T60. I have an ATI Mobiliy
Radeon X1400, and since updating to Gutsy (kernel 2.6.22-14-generic) I'm
unable to use a vga=791 setting. I have to remove the vga= setting
completely to have any output at all (and all I get then is the standard
resolution which

I got similar problems on an ASUS laptop ( A4G ). It worked flawlessly
under 2.6.20 and is totally broken under 2.6.22-14-generic.
The battery level indicator returns "fully charged" while displaying the
battery being at 12%. ( acpi cmd returns the
OK, this seems to be a bug in -rt flavor of the kernel. The -generic
flavor works OK.

I am having the same problem, only difference was I was logging out from
one profile into the next one when the crash occurred. Now I was in the
KDE desktop in the first profile and was going into the second profile
which is gnome desktop. I do ask one small question does this happen in
the 32bit v

It's strange... I am trying to upgrade my professional computer. I moved
/var/cache/apt to /home which is on a different partition and has 2.0G
of free space.
But the error message is the same and the space it is telling me to free
match the difference between the space needed and the free space o
