Same issue for me, have noticed that on 6.10 the HDD and DVD drives are
correctly identified as Master and Slave while on Feisty, both are
identified as SCSI and as master drives, not sure if this affects
anything. Have gone back to 6.10 but still having issues with VCD.

2.6.20-14-powerpc in a Apple Wallsteet Powerbook.
Adding "reserve=0xfd00,0xff" didn't seem to change anything.

no, me being stupid sorry. I ran dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg with my
usb mouse plugged in and it selected that as the core pointer. The
gnome-mouse-settings program seems to only apply to the core pointer.

I'm opening a new bug 110590. This is a feature request for inclusion of
rt2x00 driver into the main Ubuntu kernel instead of the legacy ones.
IMO this feature should be implemented ASAP because the majority of non-
integrated wireless cards are nowadays rt2x based. When done, this bug
should be fi

I noticed something weird in phpsysinfo, which I do not know if it has
to do with the bug or should I report a new one. With 2.6.17 the hd and
cdrom are shown as IDE and with 2.6.20 as SCSI devices. Here are the
interesting parts of the phpsysinfo.

I have tested also this alternative kernel ( from
http://rookery.ubuntu.com/~kyle/kernels/salgado/2007-04-25/ )
and it resolves the sound bug after hibernating on my acer aspire 1694.
