I'm opening a new bug 110590. This is a feature request for inclusion of rt2x00 driver into the main Ubuntu kernel instead of the legacy ones. IMO this feature should be implemented ASAP because the majority of non- integrated wireless cards are nowadays rt2x based. When done, this bug should be fixed.
