Binary package hint: restricted-manager
After using restricted manager and rebooting, the nvidia logo splash
screen appears before GDM every boot. Given that there's a specification
to reduce the number of flickering screen, it makes sense to eliminate
this.

Make sure you have an entry for localhost in /etc/network/interfaces.
Should look like this:
auto lo

If you do not have a loopback device you will bring Ekiga, Gaim, the
logout button, and various other random functions to a screeching halt

As topic says, i don't see my mounted partitions on Desktop (the
shortcuts) like in Edgy, although they are mounted (df -Th shows it) and
accessible through nautilus location "/media/hdaX".
Is this a bug or new way to not show them at all?

When I insert the SD card, it is not mounted. Some process in the
background seems to be checking something (dark blue in cpu usage in
system-monitor), but it ends after half a minute.
Dmesg reports:

For me, hibernating works almost perfectly (see audio problems on
resuming, Bug #80893), but the computer halts after hibernating.

My Asus RT2500 based PCI wlan does not work with the current Kernel
(2.6.20-11). After boot the card is assigned the name wlan0 and the
wmaster0 interface is also present. I can set encryption, essid and key

the icon wasn't updated but in the menue it worked. So I recreated the desktop
icon.

The thing is that when firefox crashes, it crashes with the whole
desktop, so I have to go to a virtual terminal and restart GDM.
Is there any file that contains the bug report?

Paul, if there is something wrong with the report we won't be able to do
anything else, except wait and see if happens another crash with a right
report.
I'll keep this bug report open for a while (~ a month) and in case the
