On Herd 5, with both i386 and AMD64 ISOs, after manually selecting
partition and moving forward, I am given notice that ubiquity has
crashed, the migrate documents and settings screen's text-box area stays
blank white, and back and forward butto
I confirm Unix time has this bug as well. For the record, the solution
to have panel back was "sudo mv /usr/lib/gnome-panel/libclock-applet.so
/usr/lib/gnome-panel/libclock-applet.so~" and then remove the applet
from the panel.

I've the same exact problem, i have alternately installed xfce4.4 from
the xfce.org installer, and don't have these problems.
Both Xfce-desktop and xfce-menu-plugin, progressively use more memory.
Eventually rendering xfce practically unusable. In my experience each
has reached around 250/300 Mb

Things that are completely transparent should leave no shadows (just
like in real life)
It would be awesome if the shadow intensity of the panel would change
appropriately depending on how transparent/opaque you make the panel.
That would certainly be a nice touch.

It crashed for me too; I just deleted ~/.azureus, and now it works
perfectly.
I don't think this bug is resolved, because that step should not be
necessary; we can't expect everyone upgrading from Edgy who uses Azureus
to do this.

Ok, finally feisty is still working on my PC, so I've make some
screenshot. The graphic problem with ksplash is still present. I've used
ksnapshot to grab some examples.
The "animated icons" have all the black background. I've grabbed all two

No indeed,
I have upgraded my laptop to the development version of feisty some time
ago and after one of the many upgrades (that included alsa files), sound
was working again and everything is just great once again!

Ok, so basically I have to change some chipset in my laptop but.. well.
Is there something else that can be done on a software level? I'm pretty
sure it "works with Windows" (tm), which I suppose is done by sending
samples at 44100 instead of 48000.
