The qemu package fails to compile on PPC due to the helper functions
do_fitos and do_fitod in target-sparc/op_helper.c using an out-of-date
prototype for int32_to_float*(). These functions should take a second
argument, like they do in op.c. The attached patch fixes the prob
(I am booting with init=/bin/bash to avoid any background activity.) Turning
off DMA in .17 (hdparm -d0) gives the same speeds as in .19. hdparm -d in .19
reports 0 (off). Trying to enable it with hdparm -d1 gives:

Confirming, as it is pretty obvious by now that this is happening in
Edgy.
I haven't confirmed it on Dapper, since I do not have Dapper installed
anymore and cannot verify this.

(http://desrt.mcmaster.ca/macbook.xhtml) that needs to be manually fixed to
work on feisty/edgy. This package uses an init script that creates a hal device
I confirm this bug in Feisty. The patch given seems to fix it.
