That bug is so old, I do not remember at all. I got rid of my old Ubuntu
PC, so I cannot check. Please feel free to close this issue.

Thanks vocx! Though I did not follow the steps that you have provided.
But it does looks like issue with Totem and TvTime running together.
I have been experimenting with Ubuntu and various application.
So far I have found that TvTime does not go well with Totem and Compiz.
I have removed both T
I cannot tell if this bug is actually related to "fglrx", or specific to
"totem-xine", or even related to 3D acceleration or Compiz, since I
experience the same symptoms with a plain 2D card and no 3D affects.
My card is VIA S3 Unichrome Pro IGP, which uses the "openchrome" driver.
I didn't test t
Even on Intrepid the bug is still here. What's the situation?

I am sorry, but I don't have any idea what you are saying or what you
are telling me to do. What is "compiling"? What is an "fglrx"? What is
"openGL"? And what do you mean "patches" will be delivered to the
"original tvtime version"? I have also gone to the "mcentral" link and
don't have the slight
you have to compile it by yourself at the moment, I'm investigating a couple of
ways to improve that part of tvtime.
The tvtime version on that site works with fglrx using software rendering, best
is still to move the output to openGL which I'll probalby do this week.
The patches will finally be
Is there an estimated or projected time when there might be a fix to
TVtime? And, how will that update be delivered?

Hi,
I have an experimental version of tvtime on mcentral.de it needs some cleanup
(and it's also unstable when resizing the video).
I expect to do so during the next time.
I will provide a package when I'm done with it. As for the people who
cannot wait for it you can compile it manually and it
I can confirm this.
I have to disable Compiz and add the VideoOverlay option to xorg.conf to get
tvtime to work.

Tried it again.
Ignore my second Idea. Copying the files broke compiz, so I recommend not to
play with them.
Would have been a rather monstrous Idea, anyway.

As a second idea You could try the following:
In /usr//lib there are libGL libraries that seem to be generic software
rendering ones to me even if I have no real clue about these things.
In /usr/lib/fglrx there are files that should be hardware-specific 3d
libraries. Don't know if Ubuntu knows th
Ubuntu still tries to emulate 3D features by starting an XGL session
even if the new fglrx driver knows how to do it by itselves - and will
disable the 3D features that way.
You can disable the now unnecessary run of XGL by just creating a file
with the name "disable" in the folder ".config/xserve
