Unfortunately in Hardy Heron this misbehavior is still present... moreover you
can't change your trip_points any more :-(
Is there any way to disable TZ5? Or to fix this problem somehow? Maybe by
recompiling dsdt table?

I have investigated this issue on two different laptops... both with fresh
installation of Gutsy.
On both laptops Load_Cycle_Count gets increased by 1 about every minute, which
is very bad...
Invoking 'sudo hdparm -B 255 /dev/sda" solves problem on first laptop.
Load_Cycle_Count not increasing
I have only noticed this annoying behavior in gnome main menu. In other
gnome apps everything seems fine.

In fresh Feisty Fawn installation (daily build 11 Apr 2007) the default
dpi for gdm was much bigger then 75 or 96 (that's why fonts are too
big). The workaround which worked was to change [server-Standard]
section in /etc/gdm/gdm.conf by adding '-dpi 96' at the end of the line:
command=/usr/X11R6/
I have exactly the same issue with gdm screen. Checked 1280x1024 and

I had the same problem.
I've managed to upgrade libc6, libc6-i686 and finally libapache2-mod-

Everything works fine so far.
