Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
After changing eth0 configuration from dhcp to static and filling all the forms with ip, netmask and gateway I see "Changing interface configuration" message, but the changes are not applied (ifconfig shows no ip for eth0, resolv.conf is and route shows correct gateway). When I manually invoke: /etc/init.d/network restart everything works fine (so NetworkManager write changes into /etc/network/interfaces, but maybe doesn't restart interfaces). This problem happens every time after booting form feisty installation live-cd and just after successful installation of feisty and booting into it. I didn't manage to reproduce it after configuring network settings with NetworkManger and manually (by ifconfig, route and resolv.conf) for a couple of times. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- [feisty] static configuration of wired network connection in NetworkManager dosen't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/110233 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
