enabling of secureboot, it takes well over 30 seconds before the LENOVO
logo is shown on my laptop. Before that, it's just black. Any key I

Just manually download abcde 2.9.2 from Cosmic archives, needed
libwebservice-musicbrainz-perl_1.0.4-2_all.deb from the same repo. After
satisfying dependencies, both installed fine and now MusicBrainz works
flawlessly again.
IMHO, the packages can be safely (and easily) backported.

Ubuntu 18.04 LTS has deprecated support for (at least, but probably not
limited to) MusicBrainz.
This makes the application essentially unusable as the metadata of every
CD has to be typed in manually.

This could be anything... badly encoded video files, poor hardware
support, codec problems... Please provide more info (system specs /
videocard + used driver) and perhaps upload a _small_ sample of the
problematic file or put it on a public server where we can download it
to check for ourselves.
I've experienced similar errors when connecting to the exchange 2003
server at work. Especially when trying to browse the contacts stored in
the Exchange database (this worked a lot better in Edgy!). Confirmed.
