Public bug reported: The version of abcde (2.8.1, released in January 2017) shipping with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS has deprecated support for (at least, but probably not limited to) MusicBrainz.
This makes the application essentially unusable as the metadata of every CD has to be typed in manually. Please provide backports of the 2.9.x version (available on 18.10 and 19.04) which should have fixed this issue.
