I have a USB Microsoft Media Keyboard with Mediakeys and a wireless
Logitech Revolution MX attached to my Dell StudioXPS 1640 Laptop. Every

okay, I got a temporary fix. If I press a mediakey on my USB-keyboard,
my mouse's left button (neither trackpad nor USB mouse) doesn't work

uninstalling the original gnome-power-manager-package. However, the
brightness panel doesn't show up in the "add to panel"-dialog. From the
installation process I noticed, that the applets are copied to
/usr/share/loc

okay, I just also tested the upstream kernels 2.6.32.6 and 2.6.32.9, and
both show the same behavior. I'm pretty sure that this bug did not exist
in the stable kernel version of Karmic Koala, but I can't tell you which
version that was.
