@slyon - I use unraid here, and if I modify the VM configuration at all
(I just mounted an unraid share through unraid's VM manager, and
rebooted my Ubuntu Server - no IP address). I made no changes beyond

@slyon, I just attempted this on one of my VM's. Modified the netplan
yaml file (only one in there, titled 000-installer-config.yaml).
Modified en1s0 to enp1s0, and rebooted the machine and it pulled an IP
correctly via DHCP.

of my adapters differs, but my solution similar:

I don't actually get a crash report popup, USB-CREATOR-GTK just disappears.
Running from a terminal.. at the point it crashes i just get "core dumped"

One more note on this: I tried removing the "stuck" track from my
library, and re-importing it (just the one track). It immediately popped
back into the wrong place and refused to sort correctly, same as above.
I am using Banshee 1.6.1 from the Banshee Team PPA.

It would seem that the aforementioned fix only worked for one shutdown
restart cycle. after restarting a second time the problem returned.
I then removed the startup entry from startup applications dialog, and
also unchecked the 'Start GNOME Do at login.' box. after a restart,
start gnome do again
I had this same problem, I found that restarting the X server would make
gnome-do work properly.
Tomi's comment was helpful, I think I fixed it by going to
System->Preferences->Startup Applications and removing the gnome-do
entry. After a reboot, the problem appears to have been resolved.

Thanks for the info. When I reconnect it takes about 30 to 35 minutes of
"setting channels" before it resumes where it left off downloading
files. At the very least, this should be added to the aforementioned
help page, that "the upgrade aborts now" does not mean all the
downloaded files are lost.
